A Little Bit About Me
Assalam u alaikum all,

Normally, I would have never thought of searching for a spouse through internet, but it seems this is the new normal. I have been living in Canada since 1996, when my parents immigrated, with me and my siblings, from Pakistan. I received all of my education from Grade 10 onwards to MBA in Canada. I also worked for such multinational corporations as Revlon and GE.

On a personal level, I have been married twice and divorced twice. Both marriages were arranged marriages because I was the classic good boy who was busy with studies in school instead of making girlfriends. Since, I am the eldest of my siblings, I am the classic image of responsible and mature son of my parents. Anyway, first marriage lasted for only 3 months and the second one lasted almost a decade. I also have a 2 year old son with the second one and custody issues will crop up eventually with this latest divorce (I want a joint custody because I want to give my son a proper Islamic upbringing, while giving my son the love of his birth mother).

Religion-wise, I have been brought up with parents who are "Islamic" teachers; my parents have been involved with halaqas and dars in the Pakistani Mississauga community for the last 25 years. Latest innovation with those halaqas has been that those are done on Zoom now, and, my contribution with their work is that I make videos of their dars / halaqas and post them on YouTube. My parents instilled in me and my siblings a very strong sense of ethics, morality, social responsibility, and religion. We are neither extremists nor liberals; we are the true moderates.

What I Am Looking For
My ideal partner would be someone who knows Islam and spousal rights and obligations in Islam. I want a wife who knows how to be a good mother to my children (as per Islamic teachings). I want a life partner who understands me and loves me for me.

Other than the generalities, some things are non-negotiable:
- ideally, not a career-oriented woman, but ready to work, if need be (i.e. to support our family).
- offer daily salahs and regularly fast (if no valid excuse exists),
- be concerned more about religion / deen than worldly status,
- never compel me to earn haram or indulge in riba / interest,
- hijab is a must (ideally, with full abaya and niqab)
